Lydnow brings you a 5-day composite course in 3D design and printing and drones to students aged 10+ years who are creative and enjoy learning by doing. 3D printing is extremely helpful in rapid prototyping. It has applications across fields such as engineering, architecture, prosthetics, product designing etc. This course covers the basics of 3D designing a real physical object and crafting it using a 3D printer. This course also looks into different aspects of designing a basic frame for building a nano quadcopter. Students assemble their own ready-to-fly drones.
Drones or UAV are inventive transformations that have significantly aided in making businesses more efficient and robust in recent years. Miniature drones, pocket drones, nano quadcopter drones and radio-controlled drones are all in use in various industries.
3D printing can be a valuable instrument to create physical objects or parts of it. It can assist in creating and designing a project. 3D printing courses empowers quick prototyping, but at the same time it's feasible to deliver a completed project or model on account of 3D printing. Any thought or idea in the digital space can spring to life in the realm of 3D printing.
Lydnow’s summer online 3D printing and drone program offers an opportunity for students to have short but fun experiences in the fundamentals of both these technologies.
Key technical skills that the child gets acquainted with through this course is 3D designing basics, 3D printing process and the structure and working of FDM 3D printers. For drones, students are trained in the fundamentals of quadcopter system design, students are given 1 practical face to face session where they can assemble, test and fly a drone.
The software that Lydnow’s online 3D printing course uses for CAD training is Tinkercad. For drones students design and 3D print their drone frames and implement the electronic systems and learn to fly a mini palm size quad copter.
These courses are stepping stones towards more detailed curricula that Lydnow Robotics conducts in each of these fields of technologies. Knowing the need and skill sets required for a career in these fields, Lydnow regularly upgrades the course content and has kept the curricula relevant with latest trends in these technologies.
The course facilitates an experience where the child can learn 3D design and acquire 3D spatial perception skills, simulation and modelling skills and develop research and innovation based thinking. It teaches students creative and problem solving skills that flares a passion for original and cognitive thinking, which can later be applied in tech careers or business.
Lydnow’s 3D printing for kids and drones basic course is bridging the gap between physical and digital worlds and helping students conceptualise and visualise their designs as they develop their work from development stage to the final product.
