Robopro is Lydnow's advanced training course that helps students explore mechanical design fundamentals of Robots. Students design a task specific Robot by solving a problem statement and compete with their Robot designs at Lydnow's annual Robotics competition - Robocentaurs.

Robopro is Lydnow's advanced robotics course that gets students experienced in design thinking and problem-solving skills.

 

Robots are largely task-specific machines that are designed carefully with design constraints that allow it to optimally perform specific tasks.

 

 

Lydnow's Online Advanced Robotics course, Robopro

 

is designed to encourage problem-solvers to apply themselves to mechanical parts design for a task-specific pick and place Robot that is equipped with a 6-degree freedom robotic arm. Students are given a problem statement that defines design constraints for Robotics competitions that they participate in with the Robot they make to solve the problem statement.

Students also apply their electronics system design skills and design the same for their wireless Robots.

 

The Lydnow robopro course takes a methodical approach to the robot design process and helps students to experience programming concepts and acquire skills by using coding tools and tricks and while building challenging projects.

 

This course focuses on developing HOTS (higher-order thinking skills), argumentation, data-driven decision making, etc in order to prepare students for long-term success with design thinking. Students pick up skills that impact them powerfully as they learn to articulate a problem and think logically. 

 

Robopro also imbibes a habit of thinking and acting in an orderly sequential manner and encourages students to take on disciplined approaches in everyday life. They learn to explore cause and effect and analyze how their or others’ actions impact any given situation. 

 

On completion of this online course, students get an invitation to Level 4 Robotics course Robotize and further become a part of the Lydnow team that participates in international competitions at premier institutes like IIT Bombay.

 

Participants receive recorded sessions, worksheets, and session notes regularly. Attendees also have the opportunity to make up for any missed classes through extra classes with their trainers.

1. What are the learning goals that the Robopro course cover?
  • The  Robopro  course is an elaborate and intensive 40 hour course in mechanical and electronic designs for a pick and place robot.
  • Students work on solving a problem statement to make a task specific robot that they later use in Lydnow's annual Robotics competition Robocentaurs. Students also learn designing a wireless joystick based control for their Robot
  • Students learn 3D designing of robot parts, integrate fundamental of mechanical advantage into the design of a 6 degree freedom robotic arm, and also learn complex assembly of complex mechanical parts of a robot
  • The online and offline versions of the  Robopro course  are almost the same.
  • One of the differences would be that students additionally learn to solder their robot control circuit in the offline version of the course. Also, in the offline version, students are taught the basic use rotary tools and power tools to modify and debug their robot's mechanical assembly
  • Yes, prerequisite course for the  Robopro course  is either Lydnow's  Robofunda course  or an equivalent course. Students should discuss with us the details of equivalent courses attended earlier to evaluate if their prior experience will help during Robopro and if they can skip Robocurious and Robofunda.
  • Review and doubt solving sessions scheduled between trainers and students on-demand for  Robopro course. 
  • This  robotics course  will help students to make wirelessly controlled pick and place robot with a 6 degree freedom robotic arm.
  • Students also design the electronic control system of this Robot and also make a wireless joystick based control for the Robot
  • For  Mobile Robotics,  live sessions are recorded and shared with students after the sessions.
  • In the event of missing one or more sessions, students must watch the recorded sessions, complete the practical activities, and report the same to Lydnow's Trainers.
  • Students need to put in some extra hours with Lydnow trainers to cover what they have missed. We do not recommend missing more than three sessions of Robopro courses and cover up sessions are provided for only up to 3 missed sessions.
  • Yes.  Robopro course  notes, demonstration videos, and hardware kit are included in the course.
  • Students receive a Robopro Do-It-Yourself(DIY) kit, delivered to their doorstep, once they register for the course.
  • The DIY kit is carefully crafted to enhance the students' experience and understanding of the projects involved during Robopro.
  • Trainers work live with students with the help of video tutorials that show step by step process to build and execute each project.
